FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

At this time I do not accept insurance as it limits my ability to serve you. I do offer a super bill that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement and I am working on becoming FSA/HSA eligible. If 1:1 therapy does not work in your budget right now, I have a lot of alternative options to start getting you the help you need!

I’ve been doing kegels at home, what more can pelvic floor therapy offer?

Kegels can be great at the right time and when done correctly, but so frequently individuals either aren’t performing them correctly or they are doing them when they aren’t what’s causing the problem. By getting a thorough evaluation from a pelvic floor therapist, you will know if your pelvic floor is underactive or overactive and what else may be contributing to your pelvic floor dysfunction.

I’ve been warned about a pelvic floor assessment, I’m not sure I’m interested. Do I have to do it?

You NEVER have to do something you’re uncomfortable with. A pelvic floor assessment can be very helpful in identifying a cause of dysfunction, but there is always more to work on. I’m happy to explain what typically occurs with a pelvic floor assessment if you reach out to me.

I don’t think I’m having pelvic floor dysfunction, what else do you offer?

As a trained and licensed occupational therapist, I can help you with ergonomic assessment surrounding caregiving and basic treatments for issues like carpal tunnel syndrome, “mommy thumb,” and elbow pain. I also offer a mom and baby yoga group. I am also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and can complete Manual Lymphatic Drainage to assist with symptoms related to lymphedema and lipedema.
